Contractual Agreement for Services

The Ministry at San Antonio has herein publicly posted and provided each client and prospect an opportunity to review and understand the following terms of service:

The Ministry at San Antonio will operate each event and reservation for services in accordance with these terms.

The Ministry at San Antonio agrees to, upon receiving a paid reservation for services with client, collaborate with the signed parties in formulating a desired Wedding / Renewal of Vows / Funeral / Baptism / or Quinceanera ceremony.

Conduct marriage ceremony and file the marriage license with proper county clerk's office as per the current requirements of the marriage laws of The State of Texas.

Ceremony will be performed on the date, time, and location specified by client when payment for services is received.

Payment for the Contract Balance is due upon reservation of officiant services. Dates scheduled without payment made upon reservation of services are tentative only and are not binding.

Client agrees that in the absence of a signed traditional contract between The Ministry at San Antonio and the client, that the terms and conditions of this posted policy will remain binding between the parties.

Refund policy: Policy change effective for all dates booked beginning March 11 2014: All payments received for any wedding package, a la carte enhancements, or services whether partial or in full are considered a retainer to serve as a financial guarantee against lost income to Marriage Island, LLC. Payments are non refundable. Client understands and agrees that Marriage Island, LLC has reserved a date and time for the client and will not book other sessions during this specific date and time. In the event that Client cancels or fails to attend the session on the Session Date, for any reason, Marriage Island shall suffer losses that are difficult to ascertain. As such, Client agrees that, in the event of cancelation by Client, such fees paid shall be forfeited by Client and paid to Marriage Island, LLC as liquidated damages and not as a penalty. Client and Marriage Island, LLC agree that such amount is reasonable.”. Reservations for event date, time, and services will be canceled if full payment has not been received according to terms of agreement whether verbal or written. Helicopter wedding refunds: There is an exception for Helicopter wedding refunds only in the event of adverse weather conditions that cause air traffic control or Helicopter company to cancel flights for the date or time you have reserved. Fees paid for Helicopter will be refundable due to weather conditions that prevent flight, However, Fees for ministers scheduling and services will remain non refundable as outlined above.

For all dates booked prior to March 11th 2014:

Client understands and agrees that the first $100.00 paid for ministers services will serve as a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit whether or not services were actually performed for the client.

Client understands and agrees that the remaining balance paid upon reservation is refundable for a period of 60 days from the date of payment and becomes NON-REFUNDABLE after 60 days whether or not services were actually performed for the client. Client understands and agrees that in the interest of equality to all clients, no exception to these terms will be made.

Fees paid through The Ministry at San Antonio for permits to any venue whether included or not with payments for other services are NON-REFUNDABLE once permit or venue reservation is obtained on clients behalf by The Ministry at San Antonio or any of its representatives. Clients wishing to reserve a venue or permit under refundable conditions are advised to self pay for permits and venues. Client understands and agrees that in the interest of equality to all clients, no exception to these terms will be made.

It is the clients responsibility to secure a secondary location for agreed services to be performed in the event of adverse weather conditions or weather conditions which the client may deem to be otherwise undesirable. The Ministry at San Antonio assumes no liability or responsibility for adverse weather conditions or other acts of God or nature. In the event of dangerous weather conditions, unusually extreme heat or cold, icing, flooding, road and highway closure affecting access to ceremony location, The Ministry at San Antonio reserves at their discretion the right to cancel and reschedule any reserved services for a later date without penalty or breech in agreement of services. Simply stated, if such a decision is made it was made for that of your own safety and the safety of our staff.

Notice of limited liability: The Ministry at San Antonio its assigns, staff, successors, representatives, and all other associated persons including any officiants acting in any capacity during the performance of your wedding. are to be held harmless and are hereby released from any liability resulting from personal injury or damage to personal property associated with your visit to or services performed while on the san Antonio Riverwalk or any other venue . The ministry at San Antonio, its staff, successors, representatives, and all other associated persons including any officiants acting in any capacity during the performance of your wedding. are to be held harmless and are hereby released from any liability for any damages beyond the amount paid for officiants services. payment of the invoiced amount for services indicates a clear understanding of these terms and client therefore agrees to hold The Ministry at san Antonio its assigns, staff, successors, representatives, and all other associated persons including any officiants acting in any capacity harmless from any further action or liability whatsoever. Delays and unforeseen circumstances such as but not limited to ; acts of nature, disasters natural or otherwise, severe traffic conditions, accidents, injury, death, illness, vehicle mechanical problems, severe weather conditions, or other unavoidable situations which prevent your officiant from performing services as agreed, while inconvenient to both the officiant and the client, does not constitute default or a cancellation on our part. Every effort will be made to begin your ceremony as quickly as as safely as is reasonably possible. Client agrees we are not to be held responsible and are to be held harmless from any action whatsoever based on these conditions.

No Show Policy: Events are booked in 30 minute increments. A couple will be determined to be a "no show" and the officiant is authorized to withdraw service without refund or penalty : if client has not appeared on site within 20 minutes past the scheduled event time. Officiant reserves the right for his / her time and schedule to be respected (as they will respect yours) . if you are running late we must hear from you within 20 minutes of the scheduled time of your event.

Late policy: we absolutely will not delay another wedding service due to a delay of the previous service under any circumstance. If your ceremony begins late, officiant reserves the right to compress the ceremony for time allowed, or to reschedule your event for the next available time. Client understands and agrees that officiants are contracted for 30 minutes of on site time. Officiants often perform several services in one day and are not contracted to any couple for the whole day nor an undetermined length of time. Your ceremony must begin on time. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that the ceremony begins on time. Officiant services reserved for off site venues (other area venues) are also under contract for 30 minutes of officiant on site time. Officiants are booked for several events in the same day and must be present at each event. Officiant will be at your event at the time agreed, however, any delays in the start time of an off site event may unfortunately negatively impact your officiants availability to remain on site longer than agreed and may ultimately result in loss of services without refund or rescheduling for the next available time slot.

Weather: The Riverwalk is an outdoor venue subject to periodic exposure to the natural elements. We are not responsible for the weather or the accurate prediction thereof. We have agreed to hold a specific date and time to provide services, often by as much as a year in advance, Fees paid for services are not refundable due to weather conditions which are beyond our control.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. We reserve the right to and will immediately terminate services at any time without penalty or refund in any instance of improper, degrading, abusive, violent, unwelcome advancement, or otherwise unreasonable treatment of any officiant by the client. Each officiant reserves the right to immediately terminate his or her services at any stage of the agreement, or during wedding service itself, in the event he or she determines to be in such a situation.

Notice of Photographic and or Video Recording : Events performed by The Ministry at San Antonio and or on Marriage Island may be videotaped, recorded, or photographed by staff members and or photographers working in partnership with The Ministry at San Antonio. By entering the area of a ceremony performed by The Ministry at San Antonio you irrevocably grant to The Ministry at San Antonio the right to videotape, record, or photograph your image and to own, license, assign, and or use the same forever and throughout the world in any manner or medium including, without limitation, in advertising or promotion of The Ministry at San Antonio and or Marriage Island. You will not receive any payment for such use and waive any right to bring any action in law or equity against The Ministry at San Antonio, its related companies, , subsidiaries, (whether or not wholly owned) , affiliates, divisions, and their past, present or future officers, agents, assigns, representatives, employees, or successors for such use. You acknowledge that you are at least 18 years of age . If you are under the age of 18 you represent that you have obtained your parent or guardians consent to enter said area and be bound by the terms set forth herein. If you do not agree to the above terms and do not wish to be photographed or videotaped please stay out of the ceremony area while photography or video recording is taking place. Thank you for your cooperation and enjoy the event.

Payment for services by the client to The Ministry at San Antonio hereby indicates that client has read, understands, and agrees to the terms and conditions of services Performed by The Ministry at San Antonio.
